Energy Tax Credit
ENERGY STAR® qualified windows and patio doors are eligible for the 2011 federal energy tax credit. For ENERGY STAR criteria specific to your region, click to see ENERGY STAR by climate zone. Qualifying products must be installed in a consumer’s existing primary residence; new construction is not eligible. The new tax credit is in effect for products installed between January 1 and December 31, 2011. See the specific product series NFRC test summary to determine qualifying products.
Details of the credit are available at www.energystar.gov or www.irs.gov. Consumers should consult with their tax adviser for further guidance.
